WELL, isn't this just the most exciting month ever?!

You lovely lot responded so well to our latest announcement that IDLESwould be joining our line-up for 2024, that we just had to release another one of our headliners for you this week. And they are none other than global rock icons Simple Minds!

Simple Minds will be live in The Wyldes, Cornwall on Saturday 22 June, 2024.

Yep, the real legends themselves Simple Minds will be here live in The Wyldes on Saturday 22nd June 2024! And this will be the first time that they will have performed in Cornwall in 40 years.

Formed in the seventies, Simple Minds are one of the most successful bands ever to come from the UK, having sold over 60 million records worldwide, collected awards, and shot straight to the top of the music charts with their singles and albums.

With five UK number one albums under their belts, Simple Minds have received glittering acclaim for their work throughout their career, and in more recent years have seen a resurgence in popularity with audiences all over the world gathering in their thousands to see the band perform their well-known hits including ‘Promised You a Miracle’, ‘Glittering Prize’,‘Someone Somewhere in Summertime’, ‘Waterfront’, ‘Alive and Kicking’,‘Sanctify Yourself’ and ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’, with the group consistently regarded as one of the best live outfits of their generation. Referring to their 2022 Wembley Arena concert The Times said ‘back in fashion and on thrilling form.’

Vocalist Jim Kerr said "Concerts are the life blood of Simple Minds, it’s where we and our audience come alive and energised through music."

Simple Minds may be legends, but stuck in the past they most certainly are not - MOJO Magazine described their 2015 release ‘Big Music’ as ‘their best album in 30 years’, in 2018, they performed on their largest US tour to date, and their 2022 release ‘Direction Of The Heart’ launched straight to the top of album charts.
