In the midst of a world-wide tour, with sold-out arena dates and rave reviews of their ability to deliver a performance as legendary as the band themselves, Simple Minds truly are at the top of their game.

And on Saturday 22 June 2024, for the first time in 40 years, they will be performing in Cornwall, joined by a line-up of rock legends and new faces on the scene.

Give it up for our special guests...

Fellow Scottish alt-rock luminaries Del Amitri are first to join Simple Minds, accompanying them on several stops of the world tour, including their show here at The Wyldes. With an impressive catalogue of hit rock singles including ‘Roll To Me’, ‘Nothing Ever Happens’, and ‘Tell Her This’, Del Amitri will be bringing 80s and 90s fan favourites to The Wyldes, as well as songs from their latest album Fatal Mistakes.

Joining the billing in vibrant contrast will be relative newcomers Coach Party. Embodying what NME described as a ‘joyous, pint-spilling brand of indie rock’, female-fronted four-piece Coach Party find influence in a broad palate of artists including Nirvana, The Strokes and Wolf Alice, their primary drive for songwriting stemming from “the often entertaining struggle of real life”.

Earlier in the evening, CVC (short for Church Village Collective) will match our tree-filled valley in chilled-out, summer ambience. With music The Guardian described as ‘psych-pop made for outdoor stages at sundown’ - CVC are a classy answer to a world-wide yearning for 60s sun-bleached nostalgia.

St Ives sweethearts Bailey Tomkinson & The Locals will open the stage. These local favourites masterfully blend elements of folk, pop, and rock to create a sound that is both uniquely British and universally appealing, proving that UK country music is not just a trend, but a vibrant and vital part of the global music tapestry.
