Who are The Wyldes?

High production values, a magical setting and bold ambitions. There’s nowhere quite like The Wyldes.

A versatile and unique 10,000 capacity event site in a wooded valley in North Cornwall - Keane called us their ‘new favourite venue’ when they played in 2022, and our customers come back year after year knowing they’ll experience a unique atmosphere that’s like no other.

We’re The Wyldes. We do things differently. We build to last, we look after our artists and customers like they’re our family and we tread lightly on our beautiful environment. We’re proud to be a much loved and established part of the cultural fabric of North Cornwall. And we’re growing every year.

Bringing the best of live music to Cornwall

We’re off the beaten track out here in North Cornwall, but what we do have are crowds of dedicated music fans, some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, a focus on values and community, and a warm Cornish welcome.

We started out as a party in a field, and we’ve held onto that grassroots ethos, even as we’ve grown to host some of the biggest acts in the UK, including Paul Weller, Paloma Faith, Fatboy Slim, Rag 'n' Bone Man, Pete Tong and the Symphony Orchestra.

Since 2006 we’ve presented that party in a field, called Leopallooza, a three day flagship festival featuring music, comedy, theatre and family-focused entertainment. Headliners have included Metronomy, Idles, Lianne La Havas, Orbital, Aurora, Loyle Carner, The Vaccines, Bloc Party, Bastille & Sleaford Mods with surprise appearances from Thom Yorke, Seasick Steve and Becky Hill over its 15 year history. 2023 saw our final farewell to Leopallooza, with the promise of a new festival to take its place in the near future.

Each summer we host our Live In The Wyldes event series; hugely popular one night events featuring the biggest and best headline acts, an afternoon of top notch supporting artists, overnight camping, street food and a festival feel.

We also host Wylde Valley Camping - a highly rated campsite and glamping experience open during the month of August. Wylde Valley Camping offers peaceful camping under the stars for nature lovers and families, with spacious pitches, luxury boutique bell tents and premium facilities including dual head showers and clean and modern toilet and wash facilities.

Over the years we have also hosted private weddings, anniversaries and other parties large and small, catering for our customers on an individual basis to create bespoke celebrations with a festival feel.

A line-up that would make any music fan weak at the knees.

It’s very rare you see an independent festival put in so much love...I love this place.

Reducing the impact of our events

We’ve been championing a green ethos from our grass roots beginnings all those years ago. Here are just a few things that we’re doing to make sure our festival-goers can dance heavily, while treading lightly on the planet:

  • We make greener events

We’ve been recognised and certified by A Greener Festival for our work so far to improve the impact of our events on the environment.

  • WE USE RENEWABLE ENERGY

We use renewable energy across our site, and are working towards becoming the UK’s first completely generator-free festival site.

  • WE GROW SUSTAINABLY

Everything onsite is constructed from recycled or sustainable materials, locally sourced and given new life as stage sets, bars or builds.

  • WE’VE GOT GREEN FINGERS

If, as we occasionally do, we have to remove a tree on the site, we re-plant three elsewhere. We now have a lovely woodland.

  • WE GIVE A NEW LIFE TO OLD TENTS

Each year we make sure to encourage our festival goers to take home their tents, and most do. Any that are left we find a new life for - whether they are donated to good causes, made into beach clean bags, or sewn into beautiful festival flags, old tents don’t go to waste here.

  • WE’VE BANNED SINGLE-USE PLASTIC

We were the first UK festival to ban single use plastic behind all of our bars. We were the first UK festival to introduce reusable stack cups instead.
