✦ FEBRUARY ROUNDUP ✦

Hello Wyldelings

We hope the last month (and a bit) has treated you well. If you've kept your shoes on the right feet, turned up to work on time, and set aside some time for yourself this month, then give yourself a pat on the back - summer is just around the corner and you have well and truly earned yourself a party.

Here at The Wyldes HQ it's been a whirlwind of exciting news, as our headliners have been VERY busy! Here's what's been happening this month:

DEL AMITRI TO JOIN SIMPLE MINDS

Simple Minds' Scottish Alt-Rock contemporaries Del Amitri will be joining us on the 22nd June in our first supporting artist line-up reveal of the season!

Creators of countless legendary hit rock singles including Roll To Me, Nothing Ever Happens, and Tell Her This, Del Amitri will be bringing 80s and 90s fan favourites, as well as songs from their latest album Fatal Mistakes.

With a catalogue of incredible rock hits, we think Del Amitri will make for the perfect pairing with Simple Minds - we can't wait for them to take to the stage!

IDLES SMASHED STRAIGHT TO THE TOP

IDLES released their fifth studio album TANGK. Hotly anticipated by fans and music critics alike, TANGK did not disappoint, and shot straight to No.1 in the Official Album Chart. Not only that, TANGK also topped the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, and the Official Record Store Chart, in a well deserved explosion of nationwide appreciation.

IDLES, being the soft-hearted rockers they are, immediately thanked their fans: “Thank you very much to all of you that’ve supported us, bought our album and got us to Number 1. It’s a beautiful feeling. We know, without any doubt, that it’s you that got us here.”

IDLES reached No.1 in the Official Album Charts

AND GAVE US ALL SWEET DREAMS

In a move that's made our hearts grow two sizes this week, IDLES' Joe Talbot appeared on CBeebies Bedtime Stories, with some solid love advice and a heartfelt reading of Under The Love Umbrella by Davina Bell. You can catch up now here (but be prepared to get a little misty-eyed).

JESS GLYNNE IS BACK WITH A NEW SINGLE

Jess Glynne released her lyrically poignant latest single Enough, along with a stunning new music video, and pre-orders began for her next album JESS, which will be out everywhere in April. Plenty of time for us all to memorise the words before she's here with us in June!

AND SHARED SOME VALUABLE WISDOM

We loved Jess Glynne's conversation with Fearne Cotton's Happy Place this week. In an open and honest conversation with Fearne Cotton, Jess Glynne shared her experience of moving through grief, learning to trust her instincts, and what she's learnt about forgiving herself and others along the way. You can catch up with the full episode here

UNDERWORLD TEASED NEW MUSIC

In their oh-so-cool way, Underworld have teased their new single Fen Violet, and if the 20 second clip they dropped on social media this week is anything to go by, it's going to be BIG. Keep an eye out for the release of the full version this Friday.

PLUS, SOME TOUR ENVY

We've been watching all the videos from our headliners' latest live sets - James Arthur, Simple Minds and IDLES have all begun their world tours, and it has got us counting down the days until they are each HERE this summer.

Different as they may be from each other in genre, all our headliners' live shows have one thing in common: ENERGY. With a focus on live instrumentals, each live show we've seen so far from their latest tour shows packs a punch of emotion, heartfelt lyrics and soaring vocals, and glorious sonic arrangements that will give your goosebumps goosebumps.

Work is underway at The Wyldes HQ as we are carefully curating the line-up of supporting artists for all of our events this summer. Which means you have got some extremely exciting updates coming your way VERY soon! Keep an eye out on our social media channels to be first in the know.

That's all for now,

Team Wyldes
